Lucas Johnson is a 20 year old American singer/songwriter/musician that hails from Spicewood, Tx. Lucas has always had a love for music; spending much of his time, as a small child, with Elvis playing through his headphones. At the young age of 9, Lucas picked up the guitar and his natural skills became immediately evident. As a virtuoso, his skills as a musician have grabbed the attention of many venues and musicians throughout the Austin, Texas area where he’s held lengthy residencies at Cedar Street Courtyard; Poodie’s Roadhouse; and Cooper’s Old Time Pit BBQ in Austin, Texas.

At the age of 12, Lucas began to play open mics at both Angel’s Icehouse and Poodie’s Roadhouse and the music community began to take notice. Soon, Lucas was asked to step onstage with world class musicians such as Charlie Daniels; John Arthur Martinez; (Western Swing Hall of Famer) William “BB” Morse; “Godfather of Austin Blues” WC Clark; Ty Grimes; AJ Vallejo; Birdlegg; Matt Hubbard; Harold McMillan; Oscar Ornelas; Louis Long; Boomer Castleman; Luis Coutinho; Ru Coleman; and several others. Not only has Lucas had the opportunity to play with a bevy of great musicians, but he has also opened/shared the stage with Joe Ely; Lou Ann Barton; Eric Tessmer; Waylon Payne; The Peterson Brothers; Chubby Knuckle Choir; and the Texas KGB. Although Lucas is known for his guitar skills, he is also an extraordinary violin/fiddle player who played with the Lake Travis Fiddlers from the years 2009-2016.

Lucas’ sound can only be described as an eclectic blues/rock tone rich with hints of funk, jazz, classic R&B, and psychedelic overlaying trails that he seamlessly navigates through like the “OLD SOUL” that he is. Johnson’s music influences include Jimi Hendrix; Stevie Ray Vaughan; Jimmy Page; Eric Clapton; Robert Johnson; Jimmy Reed; Gary Clark Jr.; Mike Einziger; Jack White; Tom Morello; and Chris Vincent. Lucas has studied music under Anna Macias; Chris Vincent; Elana James; and Damian Green. Lucas recorded his debut full-length album with Grammy nominated producer Phillip Peterson from House of Breaking Glass in Seattle, Washington.
